Island Bay, Wellington
Nestled comfortably in the hills of Island Bay is this small infill house. The site features stunning sea views, that can be experienced all the way from its access location on the street above.

This double height self contained small house was born from the foundations of a 15 square metre sleepout that was existing on the site. Material and colour selection throughout the home allows it to fit naturally into the surrounding landscape.

Designed as a space to host whānau, this house cleverly utilises multiple floor heights and void spaces to maximise the functionality of the spaces while allowing it to retain a sense of openness. Additionally material choices add to a sense of warmth.

Every detail has been thoroughly considered, from lights that inspire a coastal feel, to the beautifully crafted joinery which utilises every opportunity for storage.
